Lets whiz over to Botswana

I've met yet another nice person, on Friday night after work a coleague here took me out for a look around the town, we ended up at her parents bistro in the middle of Katima.
Her father runs a tour company, and was talking about how he was taking a couple of Germans to Chobi National Park in Botswana in the morning, just for a day trip, I said "can I go along"? and he said yes, so I have just spent the day looking at elephants, kudu, impala, crocs, hippos, elan, fish eagles, maribu storks, sable antelope, orix, spoonbils, rollers, bee-eaters, bla bla bla, didn't see any big cats though, bet you feel sorry for me huh.

  1. WHAT!!??
I feel so sorry for you, it sounds like you are having such a dreadful time :)
Did you take the picture of the Elephants? if so, WOW- I've never seen such a tiny baby elephant!
Also good pic of the Kudu- I bet you're glad you took your camera.

  2. I am having memories of the Maisi Mara .... when you had gastro and kept needing to jump out to find a tree at inopportune moments, with the rest of us wondering if the big cats would be coming to find YOU rather than the other way round :-). Bet you are getting some great photos. I had better leave some room on the walls.

Amazingly, I haven't been sick at all yet, mind you I'm being very careful, and it's only been a couple of weeks.
